Project Overview
Amidst the initial stages of the Covid-19 pandemic, various provinces within the country independently developed dashboards to monitor vaccination progress, health declarations, and other community health-related activities. In response, a government agency undertook the responsibility of creating a consolidated application suite. This suite encompassed dashboards, embedded digital maps, analytics decks, and portals atop a centralized database, collating data from each province.
The Challenge
The diverse data collection methods and metrics across provinces led to data input inconsistencies and compromised data quality. Access control complexities arose due to multi-level oversight and intricate processes spanning country, province, and CDC center levels. Furthermore, safeguarding sensitive personal data required comprehensive data protection measures.
Our Solution
Leveraging our cloud-based Data Platform (DP), we extended it with on-premises modules to ensure regulatory compliance. A user-friendly ingestion module was developed, offering built-in data quality checks, cleansing, and normalization. This approach curtailed data anomalies and enforced standardized data practices. The DP served as the definitive single source of truth, connecting data to Business Intelligence (BI), analytics applications, and other workflow tools.
The Outcome
The DP and analytics portal were launched for nationwide usage by government officials. Additionally, a citizen portal was made available for public access throughout the pandemic’s duration. The endeavor garnered recognition from the Government, underlining the success of our solution in addressing the data challenges and complex requirements posed by the pandemic situation.
